Our respite services are intended to provide a brief yet much needed break for the primary care giver of an older adult. Respite services are coordinated through the Stanislaus County Area Agency on Aging.
Most homemaker clients are scheduled for biweekly household services. Homemaker services are delivered in at least 2-hour blocks. Needs can be addressed for a short-term need or ongoing service.
Catholic Charities employees are carefully screened and must submit to criminal background checks before being permitted to work with clients. It is our intent to create a safe environment for our clients. We specialize in personalized support, based on individual need.
The homemaker program is funded through grants, contracts, and donations. The Catholic Social Services Guild contributes monthly to support the service. The United Way of Stanislaus is also a benefactor of the homemaker program. While clients are not charged an hourly rate/fee for services, their donations are always welcomed.
